Hui Huliau Acquires International Construction, Inc.

 

WAIANAE, Hawaii-June 1, 2017-Hui Huliau announced today the acquisition of International Construction, Inc. from founders John and Signe Naeole. 

“We welcome International Construction to our Hui Huliau ohana (family) and look forward to expanding operations,” said Adrian Nakea Silva, Hui Huliau Founder and Chairman. 

International Construction, Inc. is a participant in the Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development Program and a provider of Construction and Environmental Services to military and commercial clients. Mr. Naeole will continue to manage daily operations from the company’s headquarters in Kaaawa, Hawaii.

Hui Huliau is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Native Hawaiian Organization committed to providing a brighter future for the Native Hawaiian people through education, economic opportunities, and the preservation of the Hawaiian language and culture. Hui Huliau’s for-profit subsidiaries include Small Businesses and participants in the Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development Program. Hui Huliau has corporate offices in Hawaii and Oklahoma.

Hui Huliau Acquires KAYA Associates, Inc.

WAIANAE, Hawaii-September 6, 2017-Hui Huliau announced today the acquisition of KAYA Associates, Inc. (www.kayacorp.com), adding to its growing family of companies that serve the needs of Federal Government and commercial customers.

“I am honored to welcome KAYA Associates, Inc. to our Hui Huliau ohana (family). I look forward to continuing to do great things together as a Native Hawaiian Organization with our talented and gifted staff and employees,” said Adrian Nakea Silva, Hui Huliau Founder and Chairman. 

 

KAYA Associates, Inc. (KAYA) is a multi-disciplined small business providing broad-spectrum services to the Federal Government. KAYA specializes in Facilities Engineering, Base Operations, Information Technology, Fabrication, and Air Traffic Control Services. KAYA's strong profile in these market areas is augmented by automated tools, such as Geographic Information Systems, interactive mapping tools, and project-based website development. KAYA customers include the Department of Defense (DOD), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the U.S. Army. 

 

“This acquisition represents another milestone in our growth strategy,” said Deryl Wright, Hui Huliau CEO. “Adding KAYA to our team allows us to expand our offerings and better serve our customers.”

 

KAYA has corporate offices in Huntsville, Alabama; Lexington, Kentucky; and Charleston, South Carolina. Steven R. Johnson will remain as the senior executive for KAYA and will report to Deryl Wright.
