Maui Recovery Fund
We want to thank the friends and industry partners who reached out to us about the Maui wildfires, as well as those who donated to charities supporting victims and the recovery effort. We have boots on the ground in Maui and have seen the devastation firsthand while meeting with wildfire victims. We learned that each family’s needs are different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution.
As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Native Hawaiian Organization, Hui Huliau’s mission is to provide a brighter future for Native Hawaiians through education and economic opportunities and to help preserve the Native Hawaiian language and culture. Since 2017 we have provided over $14.5M in benefits to Native Hawaiians. Later this year we will open a learning center designed to help young Native Hawaiians earn industry certifications and prepare for careers in technology.
The Maui wildfires present us with another opportunity to make a difference by helping families meet their specific recovery needs. We established a special fund for this effort and have opened it for donations from anyone who wishes to give. Our Chairman, Adrian Silva, will personally oversee every expenditure to ensure that 100% of donated money goes to Maui wildfire victims and recovery efforts. Adrian is a well-known and respected member of the Native Hawaiian community and is active in numerous civic organizations, such as the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce, the Waianae Hawaiian Civic Club, and the Royal Order of Kamehameha I. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Native Hawaiian Organizations Association (NHOA) and meets regularly with other Hawaiian community leaders. His vision and passion for bringing positive change to Native Hawaiians’ lives inspires us every day.
ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
