Enriching the Lahui

As a Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO), Hui Huliau is dedicated to serving the community by implementing programs that enrich the lives of Native Hawaiians. Through a variety of initiatives focused on cultural preservation, education, and community empowerment, Hui Huliau works to foster a sense of belonging and pride among Native Hawaiians, ensuring the unique heritage of the community is celebrated and sustained for future generations.

 

Hui Huliau offers a variety of programs designed to support and uplift the Native Hawaiian community. Among these are educational initiatives aimed at enhancing academic success for Native Hawaiian students, as well as social programs. Each program is tailored to address specific needs within the community.

Imi Na’auao Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial support towards tuition fees, books and other required tools for college or vocational programs. Scholarship awards will be a minimum of $1,500 per semester. Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible: - Have a high school diploma or equivalent - Be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college, university, vocational school or trade school for the upcoming semester Applications Due: Fall Semester July 25 Spring Semester November 10 Summer Semester March 31 Click here to apply. In the Hawaiian lanaguage, lahui (pronounced la-hoo-ee) translates to nation, race, tribe, or people. It signifies a collective group with a shared identity.
